Aurelia
This is a story about memory and resilience. Aurelia is a woman, a mother, a widow, a seamstress and a musician. She’s my grandmother.
Last year she had an ischemic stroke that left her semi-paralyzed, then I decided I woud stand by her and be part of her life after the dramatic circumstance. She has moved back home now, where she lives on her own, rehabilitate herself from the signs of the ischemia with great courage and willpower. She’s finally back to her long walks, to her recipes and her musical instruments. This project is about elderly people, a look inside their lonely world made of values young people just can’t understand. It is also a chance to me to observe life from a different point of view, reconsider my priorities and purposes.
